he's not going to take that in his early 30's
As much as Bregman has slowed down on the basepaths already, by the time he's 37 he'll be running backwards.Farmer1906 said:Fair question.SpaceCityAg05 said:
The question is whether WE should want to do 6/150 for Bregman, even if he were willing to accept it.
Unlike Altuve, I have real concerns about how Bregman will age.
This would be Bregman age 31-36/37. We just paid Altuve for 35-39.
I do think his eye will age well so the built-in high OBP should keep his floor high.

6/$150m is an auto yes for me. There isn't a better proven 3B available at $25M/year
Jose Ramirez? He's only making like 20 per.
Also, Austin Riley is getting like 21 but he got 10 years early.
I think 6/$180 is the right number. If someone wants to pay more or longer they can have him.W said:
6 years at $150 MM would be a paycut for Bregman -- currently making $30 MM per season

Late to the party, as usual, so a thousand ****ing pardons if this has already been discussed, but why so little love for the arlingtons? I hope this is how it plays out truly I do, but I'd think there'd be a little momentum on the mid-cities nine.

doesn't really matter at this point when all the bull**** has already been shouted from the rooftops for so many years. This is like him whispering it to himself inside an empty bathroom stall. Unfortunately the damage has already been done to Tuve'. Hopefully, when the time comes for the HOF the writers and everyone else actually use there brain and not the b.s. bias they have ingrained in them overtake them.bearkatag15 said:Well well well Jon Heyman... Throughout the video, fans get a glimpse of Alvarez strolling through the offices at Nike HQ. Even better, there are brief moments showing Alvarez working with the design team on custom batting gloves, fielding gloves, and footwear.

None of those guys are available
You either need to sign Chapman now and move Bregman, find a trade (no idea what could work) for next year, or go intenral. I think internal (Dezenzo) is the most likely option.Quote:

More from Rob Manfred:

• How the Mets and Padres' big winters last year influence his view of the Dodgers' spending this year
• Why RSN turmoil could hold up expansion
• And one reply sure made it sound like Manfred plans for this term to be his last https://t.co/LO3IaMEPIY
Some additional context on this deal, per source: The fifth year is a player option for $6 million. If RodrÃguez declines the player option, the Jays can exercise a club option for $10 million for the fifth year. https://t.co/sQDlgzUQPP
