Fair question.

This would be Bregman age 31-36/37. We just paid Altuve for 35-39.

I do think his eye will age well so the built-in high OBP should keep his floor high.
As much as Bregman has slowed down on the basepaths already, by the time he's 37 he'll be running backwards.

6/$150m is an auto yes for me. There isn't a better proven 3B available at $25M/year


Jose Ramirez? He's only making like 20 per.

Also, Austin Riley is getting like 21 but he got 10 years early.

I think 6/$180 is the right number. If someone wants to pay more or longer they can have him.

It's more than lack of pitching. Basically they had their whole team of position players have career years for 4 months of the season. All at once. They are ripe for a regression.

They overachieved last year and haven't improved.

Resigning Monty would help tremendously. I honestly don't know why they haven't.

doesn't really matter at this point when all the bull**** has already been shouted from the rooftops for so many years. This is like him whispering it to himself inside an empty bathroom stall. Unfortunately the damage has already been done to Tuve'. The more we get these public acknowledgments of him not cheating and the more we get people referencing him as a future HOFer the better the odds are of him getting in and getting in early.

He has been at different times with us the last 2 seasons. I am sure 300 is very important but I think there is an argument he's more likely to reach 300 pitching fewer starts a season than more. I know that is counterintuitive, but pitching well (less worn down in Aug/Sept) and staying healthy may be his best path.

He has 43 to go. Odds are he's not making it unless he pitches into his 43-44 range.

None of those guys are available
I missed that the first time reading.

There is no one anywhere close to Bregman available. The class is terrible outside of Breggy.

Tucker or Bregman

Emotionally = Bregman
Baseball wise = Tucker

I'd lean Tucker due to age, health, and production
