I'm surprised he wasn't hearing trash cans in his head.

He's kept all his tears from 2017 and uses them as a foreign substance now.

This should tell you that 3/50 was always a lie.

Neris's market was fair. Worst case he's getting 500k more than he would have in Houston. Now he has a chance to secure another year along with incentives.

Yordan is probably over 30 if we're being honest

His original knees are 50. His replacement knees are 10.

This is 18 year old Yordan. Hmm…

Wouldn't be surprised if he's a little older but he isn't 4years or more older. Early photos of him look like a physically developed teen

Do these look like 18-19 yr olds?

He "officially" turns 27 on July 27. I would not be shocked at all if he were really turning 29.

Man why didn't we offer him something like that?

Guess Crane thinks we'll be able to fill in relief beyond our top 3, but that's still a big question mark

Yordan at "22" looks like he's got 3 kids and a mortgage

I think Fernando Valenzuela was 32 when the Dodgers said he was 20.

deGrom Update - hasn't started throwing yet.

Quote:

DeGrom (elbow) said Saturday that he plans to begin throwing again in the spring, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

DeGrom didn't specify the exact date he'll start his program, but he added that he's happy with the progress he's made in his recovery. The 35-year-old righty underwent Tommy John surgery in July to repair a torn UCL in his right elbow and is projected to rejoin the Rangers late in the summer.

McCullers & Garcia Update - throwing 80 feet

Dec 5th

Quote:

Brown, at the winter meetings, said Garcia has played catch out to 60 feet. McCullers also has resumed throwing and is "not quite" to 60 feet. McCullers, as of last week, said he had yet to play catch but that his "rehab's gone really well" following the flexor repair.

Last Week

Quote:

Lance McCullers Jr is throwing from 80 feet on flat ground and said he feels good. A late summer return seems feasible, McCullers said.

The return is supposed to be similar but our guys have been throwing for almost 2 months.

Yep, Jon is still on the roster and has been mentioned as a bench bat possibility. He's a left-handed Tyler White, and I can only hope we have better options.

There's no way we could get that kid from the Angels, we're way down the waiver wire order and someone else will claim him before he's released.

I just read another version of that article. Maybe I missed it on here, but the issue was signing kids who were actually younger than 16... not older guys lying about how young they were.

Yeah but who said they were older.

Age fraud

Not the Astros were out signing guys who said they were 14 and we just hoped no one found out.

We are pretty high already but adding a full year of JV should increase some

I kinda figured his innings per start would be down with his age, but on napkin math I think he averaged right at 6 innings a start in the regular season last year. So good call.

Looks like innings per start went progressively higher later in the year witch is a good sign as well.

If he turns out good, this is a great deal for them. Even if he's just above average. It looks like it maxes out at 9/64 M.
