Yeah, if he's sitting 95-97 with his fastball and working in a 92mph sweeper that's nice. If he's locating those consistently it's just nasty.

These are the types of things that keep your window open, especially if they work out. Building a dominate bullpen for cheap, or as cheap as you can, is the way to go!

Astros pass on Rule 5. No one takes any of our guys.

Looks like NY got hit the worst with 3 selections, all pitchers. This comes after trading away 3 arms for Verdugo and expecting to trade away at least 2 more in the Soto deal.

Boston also lost two.
Texas lost 1 & picked up 1.

You bat Soto lead off and put Judge in the 2 hole. That is just filthy. Judge may challenge some RBI records.

Plus they have enough lefties now to go L/R/L/R for a good chunk of their lineup.

Savant says he somehow hits fewer HRs in Yankee than Petco. His spray chart disagrees. He might hit 40+ with the short porch in RF.

I get why they're going all in. It's Juan freaking Soto, but if Soto does well and the Yankees win the East, how do you not sign him? That means 450 M to go along with Judge's 360 M, Cole's 324 M, Stanton's 325 M, and Rodon's 162 M. That's 723 M over the next 4-8 years before Soto. Can they commit over a billion between 5 guys?

They're trying to start the young movement with Volpe & Dominguez, but they're pretty damn old.
