Didn't Mike Ivie have a mental thing going on? I just remember some kind of cloud over his brief time in Houston.

I'll also nominate Glenn Wilson. I assume he's still in the area. I had to stop at his place once in Montgomery and get a fuel filter replaced when I was driving to CS.

How/why could it NOT be espada??

I feel like culture and fit with these guys is incredibly important. He's been here a while.

Seems like a great, low risk, match. Are there any glaring concerns with him?

Ok Staph. Time to take out the trash. During the season and playoffs you were hyper banning Astros fans for absolutely any post on a rangers thread (even if the post was immediately edited because it was on the wrong thread). Let's see if the ranger fan mods care about this.

Anything but a week long ban is nothing but blatant hypocrisy.

Wonder what Billy Haywood is up to nowadays?



He may be a good fit.

Young, fiery, had the balls to cut Jerry when he wasn't producing, dealt with Bowers and antics, and lead that Twins team to playoffs and went toe to toe with Griffey Jr.

I was talking to a couple Astros fans in Arlington after the game last Friday and one of them was certain that Alex Cintron would be named the coach. I told him no way and he says that he's seen emails from board members discussing the hire. Turns out this guys dad is the second majority owner behind Crane. I told him I still don't believe that.

A Bill Haywood must be allowed to speak his mind to an umpire. Outside of game 5, Dusty never did that. Add that to the positive column for Haywood.

Cintron gets a lot of hate on the board when the offense disappears but I wouldn't mind that hire.

Not as polished as Espada but dude is definitely in the fiery, got his players back camp that's for sure.
