I think the 70s Cowboys are a decent comparison. From 1970-82, the Cowboys played in 10 NFC championship games, winning five and ultimately winning two Super Bowls. They lost one SB in a stunning loss to the Colts and two to a Dynasty team (Steelers). Just before the period in question, the Boys lost two NFL title games to the Packers in very competitive games. It was a great run, but I don't think it was a dynasty. The Steelers were the team of the 70s, the Packers of the 60s and the Niners the 80s. Those were dynasty teams.
