Around the time of the sale, Barry Warner asked people to call in with suggestions for changes the new owners should make. I called in and said tear out that damned hill; that I didn't know how anyone ever thought it was a good idea to make outfielders run uphill, backwards, into a flagpole. Barry agreed, and went on a longer rant about how dangerous and stupid it was.

It is my belief that ol' Jim Crane was listening that night, and I take full credit for the hill's removal.
