I know it was a mistake. I don't know if Carter ran on his own or because his coach told him to.

I'm surprised we didn't send Carter. Outfielders are fast but minus arms. They've talked on broadcast they aren't good throwing guys out

Carter did fine. You decided beforehand if you're going on contact. With a double play threat up, you need to force the throw home anyway if you can.

The Canadian broadcast replayed, and the home ump clearly yells, but hard to tell if he says foul or fair. Lowe certainly thought it was a foul call.
