Most of Chapman's problem outings (not all) have come on the 2nd night of back to backs. Most of his problems in general have come after extending him to two innings in a game he lost against Arizona. When his arm is fresh he has control and velocity

Even though Chapman has thrown a lot of pitches, he's been down in the zone. That's a good sign. He's been just off the plate on several of these pitches

Chapman needs to get work. He hasn't been used in a while. He needs to prove he can pitch the 8th as we move forward. Treat it like a 1 run game.


Chappy doesn't need to prove anything at this point, especially in the 8th. He's had the 8th locked down all postseason.
