I wonder how it feels to be a mop-up duty relief pitcher. On the one hand, you are one of a tiny fraction of people that has the talent to be on an MLB team and you earn more than the overwhelming majority of the population. On the other hand, you are so bad at your job that they will only let you play if they are either losing badly or winning by a ton.

"What do you do?"

"Major League Baseball pitcher"

"Oh yeah? What's your role?"

"I pitch when the game is out of hand so that they don't have to waste the good arms."
