Carter for 3rd in lineup
I don't know. I actually kind of like our 9 hitter being such a tough out.

Surely there will be regression to the mean at some point, but Carter so far has an OPS above 1000 as a big leaguer. At this point, Bochy is an idiot for not finding a way to move him up in the lineup.
Being higher in the lineup means more at bats per game and also likely more at bats with traffic on the bases.
Could have been upwards of 70 MPH off the bat.shack009 said:

Evan Carter….we got a good one boys!!!! What a beast!
Yep. 9th is exactly where he needs to be. Protection behind him, but not nearly as much pressure.Proposition Joe said:
Again, you don't take a 21 year old that has done amazing since being called up unexpectedly and thrust him into the leadoff position.
Completely unnecessary and the risk isn't near the reward.
It's something you possibly consider in the offseason.

He's protected and still a table setter for Semien and Seager.Lt. Joe Bookman said:Yep. 9th is exactly where he needs to be. Protection behind him, but not nearly as much pressure.Proposition Joe said:

But, you are also giving your #1 spot an AB with runners on... and you protect EC with Semien behind him. Semien has 100RBI as a leadoff hitter.AggieEP said:Voice Of Reason 11 said:DeangeloVickers said:
