Same reason blue thought several obvious balls from Detmers were strikes and the double down the line was called foul.
One of the few rules in baseball I don't understand. Being able to score on a foul ball.
Strategy question: should Garcia have made that catch in foul territory with the runner at third? It wasn't too seep and Garcia has a hose, but that is a tough play to make.

Same as a fly ball anywhere else in the field. You cam tag and advance on the catch. Seems pretty cut and dry.

Exactly… don't think there was any good options available tonight. I just hope we now use our bullpen pitchers that won't be relied upon in the coming days
Now weak hits finding holes everywhere. Good thing is the angels have a worse bullpen than we do. Just need to get Detmers out asap.

Aside from losing to the Angels, the night went as well as the Rangers could've hoped.

1-4: Wildcard possible with a 2-3 TOR or 2-2 HOU finish, division possible with 2-2 HOU and our lone win is vs SEA. Elimination possible if all AL West teams tie at 89-73 and TOR goes 3-2 or better
0-5: Wildcard possible with a 1-4 TOR or 1-3 HOU finish, Division not possible
If we lose tomorrow and SEA beats HOU then we need two wins vs SEA to secure the division or 1 win and HOU goes 2-1 vs AZ
If we lose tomorrow and HOU beats SEA then we need we need 3 wins vs SEA to secure the division or 2 wins and HOU goes 1-2 or 1 win and HOU goes 0-3
If we win tomorrow and SEA beats HOU then we need one win vs SEA to secure the division. WC is secure if HOU goes 2-1 or TOR goes 2-3

I'll never question max effort….. took a chance.. didnt work….. 100% is the benchmark….. that was 110%+, just didnt work….
Coaches on here will tell you repeatedly that effort and atiitude cant be coached!!!!
