Need to utilize Perez more out of the pen. He may give up some hits but he throws strikes. Biggest problem with this pen is the ability to throw strikes.

It used to be 6.0 and 2 ER for QS. 6.0 and 3ERs is a 4.50 ERA. Quality outing by Gray, but I don't think a W in that instance would be a given. Glad Perez got it

Different style of pitcher, but yeah, he gives you a Claudio look. Martin can still paint when he's on, but his strength is always getting the ball in play. You wonder if he might be more effective out there. A pen arm who can get through the order once is valuable.
He gave up 3 or 4 hits. One of those runs was a blooper over Semien.
Leclerc has been the Rangers' most consistent shut down reliever all season, and I'm glad they finally recognized it.
Can't help but think of that scene in Full Metal Jacket where Pyle's footlocker is unlocked and Hartman finds a jelly donut in it, but instead the line goes…

Had to have this one tonight with Heaney taking the mound tomorrow vs Quintana and then Dunning vs Senga Wednesday.
Maybe this is their wake-up call for the remainder of the season…that was just so unexpectedly clutch

Both could have mailed it in this season after being demoted but both came up huge when almost every fan on here was ready to give up on them and the team.
Baseball is a grinding sport. You can make a great living with 75% failure (.250 BA).
Being disappointed is part of the game, but I'll be supporting them as long as they are playing to win. I hated the tanking years because I want to play to win ever game.

What a nice win. And a great feeling to get the After-8-come-from-behind monkey off our back!
They actually got a post-game interview with Leclerc. He mentioned he was totally not ready to pitch the 9th inning and was very nervous. He's a scared little dude. Glad to see him have success the month of August.

Will Smith has no problem throwing strikes, makes it easy for the ump actually and leaves it right over the heart of the plate
Brutal
Huge win. Got to grind this out guys. This team has come too far and given us way too much to assume we're going to crater and miss the playoffs. Toronto is really the only team that could knock us out of a playoff spot.
