I was going to say, is Bochy punking Montgomery?!

That's one of the weakest lineups in a bit. Having said that, you've got some bench players you can use to save the game late, I suppose.

Give Garver and Seager a break... maybe some of the bench players can make a difference against a Bullpen Day.

Who had Leody-Huff as their 5-6 hole hitters for your 1st place Texas Rangers in August on their bingo cards? I appreciate Bochy wanting to give guys rest but whoo buddy this is some lineup. Nothing like giving this lineup to Montgomery in his second start

My mind still can't compute that Jank is doing what he's doing. Nearly hitting .300 and outside of Seager, and recently Semien, is there anyone else you feel as confident in to get on base?

And do @ me with the OBP's of the team. I'm sure he's average but sure feels like he just always has good AB's

Yeah that is a A LOT of production to replace. Would've preferred to have one of those guys in the lineup today. I'm sure the rest is very needed but we have to aggressively take every opportunity we can to win against inferior teams to hold/increase our position against the rest of the division.

Since Jung and Heim went down with injury, I think the health of guys like Seager (obviously) and Garver has only become more important, and their availability throughout August and September is paramount. We absolutely cannot afford to lose anyone else, so I am okay with giving them days off here and there against bottom feeders.

Agree 100%. Goal #1 is to keep them healthy and productive. That's gonna mean some days off, and giving them an afternoon off after playing the night before while you also have a quality P taking the mound is a good one

He's back but battling thru it. He had a day off a few days ago because it flared a bit

Seager's right thumb is bothering him. It was obvious last night. Did you see that throw to first? Cross your fingers. Wouldn't be surprised to see him at DH the entire series against SF.

I'm OK when the Yankees and Red Sox are good. The playoff atmospheres in those stadiums is fun to watch. Everybody is bundled up in clothing, following every pitch, waiting to go crazy.

Then you have Houston, where the TV cuts to girls on their phones or 450 lb Hector.

Yeah, announcers need to save the framing discussion for actual close pitches. You shouldn't have to frame one that is that far in the zone.
