No. The reason it was a double play is because both base runners were heading back to their bag. Would have only been one out had he caught it

From today's Scott Lucas newsletter:

Evan Carter's 1st-inning homer put the Express ahead for good. Ten Texas League hitters with at least 200 PA have an OBP of .400 or better. Carter is 20 months younger than anyone else.

I've kinda been looking at how they are handling Heaney.

It seems the closer he gets the 90PC the worse his next outing is, unless he gets an extra day of rest.

They've been keeping his PC low. What I've seen is, he averages more P/IP (17.13) than any other SP on the team. Perez is 2nd at 16.16.

It was also third time through the lineup. They seemed to be catching up to him. Good move imo, we need to win games.

At 113 IP, after today. 37 more. He would only need 6 more GS with just about 6.0 IP. I expect as part of the natural course, they plan to skip a start soon. I'd like to see him get one more GS @ 5.2 IP before skipping.

I'm just curious which stats to which you're referring? Fangraphs has him at a -4 DRS and Baseball Reference has him at a negative DWAR. I don't believe this matches the eye test. He's been quite good IMO. I'm just saying that I haven't seen any metrics that say that.
