Great way to sum up the trade deadline for us so far. As we all know, number 4 and 11 were blocked by semien / Seager and Roby still requires a lot of seasoning.
I agree we've improved more than anyone via trade.
The issue is we've also declined as much of anyone in the last 2 weeks due to injury. We have 3 all-stars on the shelf right now, with very big questions on whether we'll see 2 of them at all the rest of the year.

The only one I'm worried about long term is Heim. Eovaldi also had an MRI that was clean. Degroms most recent mri wasn't clean. Big difference there.

June of '21 deGrom had a clean MRI, 4 starts later he was on the shelf for 14 months.
Eovaldi has gone from "precautionary loss of velocity" to MRI to "seeing Dr Meister".
Not saying it's likely, but it's certainly very questionable.

Is there a high average low strike out RH bat out there that can DH???? Seems to be the only piece I still want…. Ranger 2 RH middle of the order bats might combine for 400 k's this season.
I want to see Huff benched asap. Dude just can't hit major league pitching at all.

Tommy Pham?? May not cost much at all and the Mets are stripping it down. Not a world beater by any stretch but a veteran righty.

not to rush him, but he really might be able to be fast tracked to the big leagues by the end of next year. His ability at the plate alone should give him that chance.gigem1223 said:

If he's still in the organization this time tomorrow, then absolutely put him in at the DH spot. The one thing he can do is hit. If he's not going to do that here then ship him out for someone that can help now.
