After a day off at that. There no reason why Burke should only throw 1/3 of an inning. Your team just got you the lead and you bring a rookie making his 2nd appearance to face Betts, Freeman and Smith. Just dumb.
I definitely think Bochy is still trying to see what guys he can trust in what spots, and Chapman, Smith and Burke can't throw every game. You have to pick and choose spots to use them, and we used Burke. I think this game is as much on Heaney as anyone, though. Him only going five automatically meant we were going to have use an extra guy at minimum.
