Suggests Javier could be scratched tomorrow for Bielak, whom I mentioned was scratched from last nights AAA game. I thought he'd be in for today, but it was confirmed Dubin has the GS today.

The 3 we'll have face:
Blanco (29): 5 GS, 14G, 4.73 ERA, 40.0 IP. Career: 5 GS in MLB, 21 G, 5.05 ERA, 46.1 IP
Dubin (27): 0 GS, 2 G, 10.80 ERA, 5.0 IP. That's his career.
- 2023 AAA: 5 GS, 9 G, 7.96 ERA.
Bielak (27): 8 GS, 9 G, 4.37 ERA, 47.1 IP. Career: 16 GS in MLB, 54 G, 4.89 ERA, 141.2 IP

Astros could have 3 SPs avg age 28 and a combined 21 Career GS in MLB supplementing their rotation the rest of the season.

And their best hitter is out (Alvarez).

Rangers need to be patient at the plate and knock these guys out early. Stress their BP.

I go the opposite approach. I want to swing early in the game (at good pitches) because I don't want to have to get into the Astros bullpen tied or down runs. They still have some studs in the backend that can shut people down.

Maybe I wasn't clear about being patient. My expectation is this guy is going to be a little wild and missing the zone early. Let him bring it in and then launch on him.

What I don't want is Semien and Seager on base followed by 3 pitch Ks to Lowe, Garcia, and Jung on pitches that are all Balls.

Oh absolutely. Which is one reason I also think we need to split the middle of the lineup up. I would also like for us to more aggressive on the bases with a below average pitcher starting.

83G in. 257.3 PA needed including today's game. Seager's day off this week slowed him closing the gap.

.348 BA, Seager : .233 PAs -> Needs 24.3
.314 BA Duran : 237 PAs -> Needs 20.3

.306 Ohtani

If it's anything similar to what the cowboys do then it's definitely not premium. And some basic cocktails are not available.

You following this makes a really good point about how hard it is to qualify unless you're an every day player. You simply cannot miss a ton of time or be a rotation piece.

At the game. This a playoff type atmosphere. Crowd is super engaged.

I don't think this kid for the Astros has any idea where his pitches are going.

I like the approach we've taken his 2nd time through the order. Make him throw one strike before swinging at anything. Getting his PC up.

We've got to put up some runs. We'll probably only get 1 more inning of Heaney. Need to run Dubin but we've already let him go too long.
