They definitely pulled this out of their ass to justify the horrible call. Unbelievable...Mr Gigem said:

Yes the catcher dropped it, but this was called not blocking the plate last week pic.twitter.com/bfSukwilBU

YOU GOTTA BE ****ING KIDDING ME. IS THIS REAL LIFE RIGHT NOW?
I hope that umpire in New York gets fired or at least mugged by some thugs after the game. ****ing incompetent lazy idiot ******.
After the umpiring we received in our last home stand and what transpired tonight, the rangers should raise hell. Over the course of the last 2 weeks, It seems like when we get guys base, the home plate umpire mysteriously expands the zone wide as **** and when we are pitching and the other team gets guy on base, the zone shrinks.
This is crap. I just am at a loss for words. I want heads to roll. Someone to get beat up. Someone to get fired. Give me something please.
I mean ****….. do they want the Angels to do well enough to keep Ohtani and Trout to finally taste the playoffs? Do they want to get the chance to promote another Astros vs Yankees ALCS? Or dodgers vs. Astros round 2?PatriotAg02 said:Grapesoda2525 said:

I smell something rotten with MLB in their treatment of the Rangers. It's been getting more blatant as the season's gone on.

Not sure the thought here, with Acuna playing CF @AA Frisco.
Evan Carter is the normal CF.
Saggese played SS, tonight. 5th Rd in 2020. #15 Prospect. He has played 2B and 3B equally.
Seager has SS locked, for sure.
Is this to audition Saggese for trade at SS? Acuna for trade as CF? OR... just a routine minor league twist based on players available?!

TV or radio? I can't imagine Dave Raymond getting too bent about anything Rangers, but the radio guys were pissed for sure. After catching the video replays a couple of posts up it's not hard to see why. That's one of the best left field throw & tag I've ever watched. Looks like they had been practicing it all day. Man what a screw job...Quote:
I was glad that the Rangers announcers were incensed too. They didn't hold back.
Quote:
Heim was stunned.
"I asked the umpire what I could have done differently," the catcher said. "I set up on the corners. I even backed up. I don't know what else to do. It's upsetting.
"I don't know how you can block the plate from behind the plate."

Is there a clip of that? I can't find any
The White Sox take the lead after it's ruled -- after review -- that Rangers catcher Jonah Heim didn't give Elvis Andrus a lane to home plate. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy was ejected.

Even the NBC Sports Chicago crew -- Jason Benetti & Steve Stone -- couldn't believe the ruling. pic.twitter.com/eRAoqFqoZU

Dave Raymond ranted about it. Both him and CJ were incredulous about it.
Hey @MLB if Jonah Heim is called for blocking the plate here, where CAN he stand? pic.twitter.com/zow393sxVQ

This is where I'm at this morning. A horrendous call and further proof that the MLB has some of if not the worst officiating in all of sports, but, the game was tied up 6-6 at the very least, further pointing out that we still have deficiencies in the bullpen. On top of that, why did Bochy leave Anderson out there? I think that has gotten lost in this.fc2112 said:
Keep in mind, even if this call was made correctly, Rangers do not necessarily win. It's not like this was a missed call in the bottom of the 9th that hands Chicago the win.
Also, isn't it an automatic ejection for arguing the replay call? Obviously, arguing and getting tossed is the right thing to do - just pointing out it wasn't a power trip thing for the umps to toss him - it's just automatic.

Well I was looking for the sportcenter segment of it. But it may not be any different from all the clips posted here.
I really liked the rangers postgame. If that was catcher obstruction, every future play at the plate should be safe to the runner. The catcher would have to get three feet from the bag and reach for the tag
