Really wish we'd put Duran in LF and DH Heim when he needs a day off catching. But I guess they want him to get total rest.

I really don't understand why Duran doesn't play LF over Grossman. He's got 92nd percentile sprint speed and 81st percentile arm strength. He's going to obviously make mistakes, but there's no way he can be worse than Grossman out there (who might be one of the worst OFs I've ever seen)

Duran hasn't played much OF, but I agree. Might as well throw him out there and get some reps in, can't be any worse that Grossman has looked. At least Grossman has started to hit, following his slow start this season.

Sounds like he's starting his rehab assignment next week, so best case he'll be back at some point during the BAL or DET series. I think Jankowski might be a little behind Garver from what I've seen on twitter.

Down on the farm, a name to keep an eye on...

Josh Stephan (ranked 29th in the Rangers' Top 30 Prospects list) is pitching in High A and looking pretty darn good. His record is 3-2, but in 37.1 IP just 21 hits allowed w 8 BB and 41 Ks, with a 2.17 ERA. Hitters are at .162 against him and his WHIP is 0.78. The native Texan won't be 22 until November.
