They don't make much money but they spend even less. They were a top 5 team in profit last year.

They had under 2,500 for a game last year, which broke a 40 year record.

Earlier this year, one of their games drew 3,400. 11 of the 13 AAA games that night drew larger crowds.

I didn't get to see the game. Why didn't they let him complete the shutout? Did he have a high pitch count? We got to see him throw a complete game shutout vs the Yankees a couple weeks ago.

A's got somewhere in the neighborhood of $34 million from MLB revenue sharing.
and its a dated chart but it shows Oak getting around $40 million on their TV deal.

making sure he couldnt take an L after awesome performance … allowed 2 baserunners in the 9th…. preserved his W while making sure he wasnt on the hook for an L if the game spun sideways

You can get tickets tomorrow right behind home plate for $225 on a Friday night. That's sad. $225 in California is about $100 here in Texas.

As a poster above stated, he got two outs and gave up a double and a walk. He threw 113 pitches and Bochy came and got him. Will Smith got a K on the next batter to end the game. They were willing to let him try for the CG but he just couldn't close it.out. Valiant effort, though.
