Yea certainly a puzzling start defensively for them. The speed, arms and glove talent is all there. They're just not gelling out there for whatever reason. It's got to come together at some point.

We do have an odd assemblage out there. A below average RF who's an RBI machine. A CF who started the year hurt and is probably still healing. And a rotation of odd ball pieces in LF.

If Thompson is not adequate to spell Taveras in CF, he needs to be in the minors.

I think the reason Taveras is in CF is because he has a much better arm than Thompson. Easier to hide a weak arm in LF. They both have great range and speed.

Adolis might have started this season below average defensively, but overall he is way better than that. Let's not forget he won a gold glove

FIFM. And I'm being too hard on Adolis, but man he's had some ugly moments out there so far this season.

Adolis has certainly been below average this season but he's been a plus defender with a gold glove. As I stated before, the talent is there when Garcia, Leody and Bubba are out there. Just isn't clicking yet.

I feel like getting him out of the pen has allowed him to throw just a little bit harder and get more spin on the ball. His two-seamer looks like it has a whole hell of a lot more run on it than it did last year. He's also healthy!
