My guess is that Carter will get the call to Round Rock in a few weeks. Then from there we'll see what he does and how long it will be. If he continues the way he's going we might see him in July.

Probably right, but why? What does he have left to prove? If he was striking out often and not taking walks I'd agree with that move. But he doesn't. He has great plate discipline. If we didn't need help in the OF or have a glaring hole at DH I'd be fine with waiting but the future is now.

The pitching in the Texas league is pretty widely regarded as being not great or below average, so I would guess that he needs to see some better pro level pitching. Not because he can't handle it, but simply to let him see the difference and to let him adjust. The jump from AA to MLB pitching is quite wide.

He's had less than 100 ABs at the AA level. For the love of God let's not rush him to the majors and ruin him. Let him prove himself at AA and then AAA later this season and maybe bring him up in late summer.
