The northeast corner entrance/exit is the best kept secret in baseball.

astros fan here coming to ask a question. no disrespect here....Watching the game last night it seemed a ton of the balls carried to the warning track and weak fly balls carried a ton for both teams. Does the new ballpark give up a lot of homers? Does the field have vents up top that could have an effect on the ball in the air?

The early results seemed to feel more like a pitcher's park, but that may be because of the old BallPark. It could be that we have better pitching.AustinCountyAg said:

only went to one game this season, but I got the Birria tacos from Hurtado's. They were the best things I feel like I've ever eaten at a sporting event (not saying much because my only real history is at A&M events). But I still dream of them sometimes hahaProposition Joe said:
What is everyone's go to food these days? The last playoff run(s) they had some "Texas Tacos" that were soft tacos that were pretty good but they are no longer around. We're usually sitting down in Sec 21 or Sec 22 so typically have been going to the nacho place right outside of there, but looking for something different.

That's the type of suggestion I was looking for -- I'll check it out tonight!
yeah the nachos looked pretty good and the elote (like beagle said) looked freaking delicious. Next game I go to I'm going to have to decide which I want.. or just be a fatass and get both the tacos and eloteProposition Joe said:

The boneless basket from pluckers is the best value IMO
ETA beers are nearly $19 after tax during playoffs. I think sodas were $14 or so

wait, they raised the beer prices for the playoffs?
Interesting about the Bregman HR.ChoppinDs40 said:
MMP is one of the smallest fields in the league. For example, Bregman's homer to left was a foul ball in the other 29 ball parks. Crawford box is fenway level short with 1/2 the height of the monster (estimating).
GLP isn't a monster by any means (Twins or Detroit massive parks, IIRC) but MMP is, in fact, almost a little league park in some spots.

Yeah I was taken a back at the craft beer stand last night when I got two 16 beers and the total was $38. Seems like those beers (with the ST discount) were about $11 during the season.

What are the ballpark dimensions at Petco?
Right Field: 322 feet
Right-Center: 391 feet (was 402 feet)
Center Field: 396 feet
Left-Center: 386 feet (was 402 feet)
Left Field: 336 feet
I see. I'm 11 years late on the Petco pitcher-unfriendly updates. Could be why my Padres performance on immaculate grid is limited to Steve Garvey, Tony Gwynn, and Jake Peavy.DallasAg 94 said:
PetCo was pitcher friendly. In 2012, they moved the power alleys in.
