That was what came to my mind.

It is what makes baseball fun and humbling. One week you can't do anything right, can't hit, can't pitch, can't field... next week that is the team your facing while you are doing everything right.

Agree with this.

Toronto played the dregs of MLB for two weeks before this series and played well. We were scuffling and didn't know if we'd make it back into the race.

I have to imagine Bochy is going with Smith to close. He's had a ton of rest, has a huge lead, and feels like a game where if he delivers could get some good mojo back.

Gotta give credit to Boch and the staff. This team had all the excuses in the world to lay down but they didn't. Instead they got right back up and now about to be just a 1/2 game back from the division lead.

Amen. Lots of over reaction this last week calling for his head and claiming the team quit. Which I get, it was a horrendously brutal stretch. But as someone said earlier baseball is a goofy sport and things can reverse course in a matter of a series or two, which is what we're seeing now. Better late than never!!

Hernandez reminds me of that big yankee reliever who couldn't get his release point consistent enough to stay in the league. His body is headed toward first and he's got to have the perfect release point or you get his performance vs Twins.

What was that guy's name?? Anyone?

I was DOWN after the Friday night loss Oakland. I thought a split in Canada would be great. Never would've imagined this. Sweep Cleveland and they've canceled out the 9 game losing streak! I have zero expectations of them winning a series in the postseason but, just getting in will do wonders for going into 2024.
