Good morning everyone, rocking my Astros championship hat today and was wondering how to watch the Astros on YouTube tv? Wife's and I decided to try it since our cable isn't working.
Your OTT (over-the-top) streaming options for the 'Stros are FuboTV and DirecTVStream, if you're in-market. That's it.

DirecTVStream is available everywhere in the U.S. Again, I'm talking about the OTT (streaming) offering, not DBS (direct broadcast satellite). DirecTVStream is not DirectTV--it's a separate service. Similar channel lineup, but not completely the same.

'Tain't cheap, neither, but it has both AT&T SW and Ballys SW, and the Turner networks--which means you can watch all seasons of sports, including March Madness. Fubo doesn't have TBS/TNT/TruTV.

Then you got bad information. There's no serviceability check. You sign up with them, enter your zip code, and you'll get the greater Houston area channels.

Sounds like you asked about the wrong thing or they lead you down the wrong path. No need to call about DTV Stream, just sign up here - https://www.directv.com/stream/

Also, Fubo >>>> DTV Stream in my opinion. I like YTTV during football season and Fubo for baseball.

Wish McCann was a little more vocal. He knows probly better than anyone what the other teams were doing. He was also on the pre2017 cheating Yankee teams and could give some good insight into their practices.

Only an idiot believes the Astros were the only or the worst cheaters busted, and yet the league just chose to make zero player punishments and zero forfeitures of wins/championships.

It is patently obvious to ANYONE with a brain that the Astros had big leverage over the league that prevented those things from happening. The league certainly wasn't doing it because Houston is the darling over NY, LA or even Boston.

What could that leverage be? The only answer and the obvious answer is that Astros had indisputable proof that the darlings were all cheating just as bad, or worse. So the league had no choice but to relent.

I don't even think most of the talking heads who label is cheaters are stupid enough to think everyone wasn't doing it. I just think they need something to bleed over to justify their hate for a better club.

I have told anyone and everyone that will listen that literally EVERYONE in baseball cheats! Cheating in baseball goes as far back as the sport itself. The black sox, the steroid era, juiced balls, stealing signs, etc. The MLB I think knew that stuff was about to come out and they didn't want a blue blood (Yankees, Dodgers, etc.) to take the fall, so they threw the Astros under the bus.

If we're going to use this absolutely idiotic rule at least have the first couple of extra innings play out normally before placing the Manfred man on second.

This is one of those things that everyone loves to get upset about that I just can't imagine getting worked up for.

It's not like it is unfair to some teams, but not others.

As long as the playoffs are done the other way, I'm good.

My only question/issue with it might be does it work? How many innings a year per team is it saving? I have never heard one way or another.

It's a BS beer league softball rule that has no place in the professional game.

Minority opinion but I don't really have an issue with it for regular season games. It's a long season with a ton of games and a lot of travel and weeknights. If it were in the playoffs, I'd riot.

I love baseball as much as anyone but don't need to see a 15-inning knock-down drag-out on a Tuesday night in May.

the only benefit to this stupid rule is saving pitchers arms.

say a team has played five games in a row, and then on game 6 of the week they go to extra's and it takes 17innings. And then the team has to turn around and play another game the next day. That could be a lot pitchers throwing a lot of innings with not much rest in-between day(s).

I don't like the rule, but I could see the benefit there.
Harry Dunne

I don't like it, but I get it.

With as tone deaf as Rob is I'm surprised he didn't just say that games end in a tie after the 9th inning.

I have come around on the ghost runner rule. Nobody cares about an 18 inning Tuesday night game and it ruins your teams bullpen for 3-4 days after

I love the extra inning rule for regular season games. Has made extra inning games in the regular season way more interesting as there is always action happening. In the past, we've left extra inning games on a weekday in the 11th inning to get kids home and to sleep. With this rule, we don't have to do that, and it's completely fair to both teams.

I also like that it brought the skill of bunting back to having a purpose and exposed a lot of players that haven't worked on that in years. IMHO, the shift-ban and pickoff rules that are being implemented this year are way more impactful in changing the game than this extra-inning rule by far.

Agreed, it's extremely gay.

If you can't handle extra innings, go home or go to sleep. It's baseball for God's sake.

Maybe we can get a free pitcher of flat Miller Lite in one of those plastic containers every extra inning to get through the pain and torcher.

Tough to be vocal when he knew we were doing it too. This was before the rat turned snitch so he was trying to be as forthcoming as possible without completely calling them out.

Dodgers have to be the most hypocritical sports franchise on the planet.

This is why a lot of us don't put much stock into the Yankees starting rotation.

Quote:

Yankees starting pitcher Nestor Cortes will miss the upcoming World Baseball Classic after tweaking his hamstring, reports SNY's Andy Martino.

Cortes had been a member of Team USA's roster, but now has to drop out.

While there's no known timeline on how long this hamstring tweak could keep Cortes off the mound, it's worth noting that the lefty dealt with a groin injury in late August of last season, landing him on the IL, and then exited Game 4 of the ALCS against the Houston Astros due to a groin injury.
