Who from this dynasty makes the HOF?
Verlander - Lock
Altuve - Good chance. Needs 3-4 more good seasons
Alvarez - Early returns are on par with all time greats, but still too early
Bregman - Likely no, but not out of the question
Springer - No
Correa - No
Tucker - Let's look again in three years
Pena - Not even worth thinking about yet

Altuve - 90%. Needs 2-3 more strong years and then to age normally.
Bregman - Too early to tell. Needs to play like 2022 (or even 2018 or 2019) for the next 3-4 years, not 2020 or 2021 to stay on track.
Alvarez - Way way too early, but has a nice start. He plays like he did in 2022 or 2019 moving forward thru his prime and he'll be a lock.
Tucker - Way way too early.
Springer - 5%. Started too late and had too many injuries. Just passed 1k hits last season at 32.
Correa - 10%. Stay healthy and play like 2022 and it jumps significantly. Needs to add some AS, SS, All MLB type awards to the resume.
Pena - 0.1%. Started too late. Hasn't shown anything like a HOFer on offense yet.

Adding a few more.
Verlander - 100%
Greinke - 100%
Cole - 60% plays in NY now. Is a workhorse. MLB will need to adjust how starting pitchers are judged for the HOF. Could be the last 200 win pitcher for a long time.

What did that run?
$500, paid for by fantasy league title.

I have put together a run of rookie on card autos of the starting lineup, really fired up about it. Altuve and maldi are the only holdouts.

I have several altuve autos but no rookies, plus his rookie year was still the god awful red unis, so i will most likely opt for a non rookie auto w him and I might leave maldi out all together because there are no good options

These are the two most interesting cases.

Just took a deeper dive into Correa and didn't realize he's almost up to 40 WAR already with elaborate postseason experience/moments. It's weird with him because he tends to be an afterthought when ranking the best SS of this era and, like you said, doesn't have much hardware. But if he can rack up 5+ WAR seasons through his mid 30s, he'll definitely be considered.

I think Bregman's case might resemble Pedroia or Jeter when all is said and done. The rock solid leader presence on a club that's always in the playoffs. Hard to say where his career WAR will end up. Half his current WAR is from 18-19, which is a little suspicious. Still, he has a path to 60 WAR and his name will be synonymous with the Astros' 15+ year title window.

I think Bregman can go the Rolen path and just stack the 4-5 WAR seasons and by the end of it end have a a 70 WAR. He said he wants to play another 12-15 years.

Did you pull any or are they add 3rd party singles?

I hadn't looked at baseball cards in years and years until I got 2 packs for Christmas. I then processed to buy a few boxes and get the itch, but it seemed very overwhelming how large the set was. And it got real pricey real quick.

my son got me back into a couple years ago, I bought a collection of craigslist in 2020 that turned out to be incredible, over 100 astros autos from Jimmy Wynn - present day, still not sure what to do w those.

The ones on the post above I bought on ebay.

Bregman's postseason stats will help tremendously.

I think he's already most postseason HRs by a 3B.

Solid regular seasons with being at the top of postseason counting stats will go a long ways.

I'd say Bregman probably has the 2nd best chance behind Altuve of our current guys because he's an elite fielder and an elite hitter. But he'll need a lot more seasons closer to 2018 and 2019 than what he's put together lately. Last year was a nice year with 93 RBi, 93 runs and 23 bombs, but .259/.366/.454 isn't going to the HOF. He'll be 29 in March, he'll have to mash and not have injuries for 8-10 years to have a shot.

Yordan's not even to 100 HR yet. If his numbers hold up over 15 years, he'll be a lock, but that's a long-range if.

Tucker went for 30/107 with 25 steals last year, but his percentages were down across the board. He needs several replications of his 2021 with 30 HR, 92 RBI, and a .295/.359/.557 slash.

Like others have said, Springer has no shot. He's a slightly less productive version of Jim Edmonds. Amazing when he's healthy, but he's not healthy very much. Edmonds played 17 years and didn't make 2,000 hits, got a piddling 2.5% of the HOF vote despite 393 HR and a .284/.376/527 career slash.

Correa has the post-season resume but his regular seasons are majorly lacking. 8 years in the league, 2 all-star games, 1 top 5 MVP finish, 1 Gold Glove. Everyone says he's so amazing at SS and such a big-time hitter, but the accolades arent reflecting that. Unless Minnesota starts making deep runs in the playoffs and he's the biggest bat on the team, he's going to drift into obscurity here in the next few years.

it's amazing that George has played 9 major league seasons (as a starter)...and only has 1,048 career hits.

that's an average of 116 hits per season

and then Correa...signing with the Twins was not a good step toward the Hall.

he needs to boost his counting numbers significantly...and that will be difficult in Minnesota.

last year he played in 136 games with 590 plate appearances...but it only equated to 70 runs scored and 64 RBI.

Carlos had a huge September to clean up his stats -- with 16 runs scored and 19 RBI. (took a page out of Mike Trout's book)

on August 31st his totals were very, very, very mediocre for a $35 MM player

Noticed on the schedule - don't play NYY until after all star break, and then it's 4 there, 3 here. Play LAD series there, not here. Interesting.

I was gonna say, Correa has to be 3rd on the list right now. He's still young and has the postseason success to help him as well. Think it comes down to health with him. I could see him fall off a cliff in his early 30's.

Not sure why you would expect more than a single series against the Effin' Dodgers this season. The only NL team the 'Stros will face both home and away is the Rockies with two game series in each park. They will face the rest of the NL through single three game series: seven at Minute Maid (Friars, Nats, Reds, Mets, Giants, Cubs. Phillies) and seven away (D-Backs, Fish, LA, Redbirds, Brew Crew, Pirates, Braves).

As for the Damn Yankees, seems a bit odd having to face them in back to back seasons with three games at Minute Maid and four at Yankee Stadium but this is the first season in which every team will play every team so I'm willing to give the schedule makers a little leeway here.

There's no way Dusty doesn't make it is there? I know his credentials as a player aren't close and probably not as a manager either. But his combined career is pretty special and I doubt if there's even many sportswriters who don't like him.

Would they waive the five year rule for him to get on the ballot or would that be too much common sense?
