Somehow MLB Network has Alvarez & Pena at 4th and 3rd in the Postseason performance rankings. They're on crack.

Okay they gave Javier, Abreu, Montero, Pressley the #1 spot for the no-no. Not as bad as I thought.

Yordan should be 2. I am not sure we get out of the ALDS without that 3 run walk off. Add in his Game 2 Dinger and the WS game 6 blast that just went past Pujols' blast off Lidge. Those bookend 3 run bombs are erotic.

I watched the segment on MLB network where the reporter talked about this. I don't think this was based on any sources knowing about active negotiations. Instead it was more like "it would make sense if they got extensions now that they don't have to pay Verlander". I think all signs point to Tucker wanting to hit free agency. Who knows about the two pitchers. I hope we extend them.

I doubt a reporter is going to have a segment on Astro extensions without something a little more firm than, "hey that kind of makes sense".

He didn't report ongoing talks so it's probably is very early stages. Since all 3 have different agents, I would guess the info came from the Astro side.

The Astros might wait until a GM is in place. Crane made it sound like that could happen between the new year and season. Or he could just be handling it.

He will be a FA after the 25 season. The same year as Aberu, Montero, Valdez, Javier, Urquidy, & possibly Pressly if he vests the year before.
