All these teams are throwing around tons of money to try to something the Astros just did: win a World Series. It's not easy to win a World Series. I hope the fans appreciate this era of Astros baseball.

I wish every single Astros fan would see this and never forget it, especially any of the ones complaining about the offseason moves made so far or a lack thereof.

I feel for Giants fans (and former Astros asst. GM/new Giants GM Pete Putila) after not getting Judge or Correa, but they still have three titles this century, only behind Boston's four. For those two proud franchises, the dichotomy of where they are now compared to where they were in 2021 is just another reason for Astros fans to never take anything for granted. With both of those teams already most likely out of the World Series picture moving forward for a while it should serve as a reminder how quickly things can change. Who knows, the AL West may become the toughest division in baseball before long. Thank goodness for what Jim Crane and Jeff Luhnow built here.

Damn well better appreciate this run. Mrs. Marvin and I will be at MMP on Opening Day to soak it all in and revel in the glory of our boys as World Series Champs- again!

Every single one of you should make plans to be there as well. I mean, I expect another gold pennant in '23 to balance out the appearances (I'm OCD like that) but this one is and continues to be extra special. Don't miss it!

Someone posted a few weeks ago that a reasonable goal over the next three years would be 3 LCS appearances, 2 pennants and 1 title.

If that were to happen, we would be in a 9 year stretch with...

9 postseason appearances
9 LCS appearances
6 Pennants
3 Titles

I was born in 1974...so the first 43 seasons of my life produced...

10 postseason appearances
4 LCS appearances
1 pennant
0 titles

That would be an absolutely absurd stretch of baseball if it plays out that way, and the fact that would be a historic stretch, not just in franchise history but baseball history is most definitely not lost on me.
