If the Yankees trade for Reynolds, I hope we move on Varsho.

I read that as a plus 45 war, so we ares gonna win 126 games next year

That seems pretty good

The crazy thing is I think all the WAR predictions serioisly underrate out starting pitching. Especially Javier and Hunter Brown.

Great math.

Doing the actual math... I think that is 47.8 WAR (18.7 pitching and 29.1 hitting). That means about 95 wins. No arguments from me. 95 would be a great season. We all want 100+ every year, but losing your ace and still winning 95 is not something many teams would be able to do.

Salt Lake City seems like a option. SEC country could use another team so maybe Nashville? Charlotte could also be an option too. Indianapolis could be a sneaky place to get a team too. No teams in Indiana at all.

Answer is clearly Vegas. Then followed by maybe somewhere like Nashville or Salt Lake. I don't think you'd get a team in Indy or Charlotte.

I am sure Houston & Arlington would fight it, but I would like to see a team in Austin.

  • 28th largest metro
  • One of the fastest growing
  • No other big 3 professional team there (excite the city)
  • Another team that makes sense in the West with Houston & Arlington.
  • Young population (won't die off in a few years)
  • Lots of major companies to buy up suites

But Vegas is likely getting Oakland.

My assumption is that Vegas will already have a team and they'd be looking for 2 more on top of that not named Oakland.

really its Nashville plus another not named Vegas since the A's will likely be there soon anyway.

Absolutely. I'd say down the line Tampa gets relocated, too.

I think Oakland goes to Vegas, and Tampa goes to Montreal.

Nashville is candidate #1 for an expansion team. Austin or San Antonio would be a good choice, but I'm sure MLB wants another coastal team so I could see it being somewhere like Portland.

Charlotte metro is larger (~700k) and is growing as fast as Nashville metro. I would say they're just as deserving.

Thinking of major cities without teams

Salt Lake- could work, need more teams out west instead of east coast
Austin- yes but as stated Houston and Texas would fight it
New Orleans- no chance in hell
Charlotte- I just don't see it but it's a possibility
Vegas- Yes likely A's
San Jose- possibility
Indianapolis- way too crowded of a region
Im looking for Ray Finkle.... and a clean pair of shorts. Im just a very big Finkle fan. This is my Graceland, sir.

Nashville and Charlotte were the two I was thinking. Both already mutli team pro cities with good weather and rising population.

Portland was mentioned as well which would also make sense.

That market just seems meh. Especially for TV. Plus rangers would fight hard, they have a good base up there

There is -7357828% chance a team goes to Austin or anywhere else in Texas.

The As will be in Vegas within 2 years. Maybe 1.

I can't imagine NO gets one. There isn't a facility or frankly a place to put one downtown not to mention any tropical storm and you would be on a month long road trip. Or worse.

SLC or Nashville in the US but I bet Denver fights SLC. Do not sleep on Mexico City or Monterey. I imagine Seattle doesn't want a team in Portland.
