Based on my time in MLB The Show,..... Narvaez is a hell of a platoon catcher. He was always my late draft catcher that started against Righties.

Hey all, tracking numbers are going out shortly for the last group. I want to thank you all for your patience.

I still have a couple tumblers that are engraved and ready to go. Only they Yeti has an issue, the two RTIC were just done with the wrong logos. All tumblers $5 shipping and boards $13. If you want pictures let me know.

30 oz Navy Yeti $38 powder coat stayed on a little
20 oz Slate Blue $15 Dome Logo/Chester Charge
20 oz Slate Blue $15 Main Logo/ WS 2022

The following boards are available. I am not sure what happened but they have a slight ring around the engraving from the smoke. You have to be at the right angle, but it is noticeable.

3 - 2022 WS with Logo $35

2 - Double Champ Logo $35

I don't think Vasquez was ever going to sign back with the Astros. The guy who traded for him got fired and the manager who's still there, barely let him play. Barring a Maldy injury, what would make Vasquez think he was going to get more playing time this year?

But have you seen the things Ohtani and Trout have done?

Also, LOL at our neighbors to the North.

Could do one smaller circle of won 2 WS for Stros, Giants and Red Sox.

One more year and the Sox 2013 title falls off the list.

If you look at the inner circle teams, only the Astros, Braves, & Dodgers* look to be truly competing for a 2nd or in our case 3rd. It's hard to win one and fall off, but it's way harder to win one and stay on top.

Here's a random thought. So thinking about our core players right now, who do you think is "guaranteed" to get into the HOF? Is anyone at this point? What do they need to do to make it in and how many of them do you think could realistically do it?

If we had rallied from down 0-3 to Tampa in the 2020 ALCS and won the World Series over LA, would you still call it a Mickey Mouse title?

No. Because that's how sports works. The Dodgers claim 2020 as a real title. The other 29 fanbases call it a Mickey Mouse ring.

No matter which team won in 2020, the other 29 fanbases would call it a Mickey Mouse ring

We played the White Sox in the playoffs last year.

Why are they outside looking in?

Need a separate circle for WS won in a 60-game season with exactly 0 postseason road games.

That series was the closest sweep I've ever seen, up until we swept the Mariners this year.

Re-sign Brantley and I think we should be good this off-season and it would be considered a success

FWIW- what I've heard regarding Brantley.

Lots of concerns regarding his health and age. The Astros want him back and he wants to be back but they want to make sure he's healthy first. If they sign him, it won't be for a while. Probably closer to Spring Training so they can see how his shoulder recovers.

Assuming he's somewhat healthy I totally agree.

Our lineup would be improved (also CANNOT WAIT to watch the year 1 to year 2 improvement for Pena...getting giddy just thinking about it).

Our defense would still be good although Abreu is a slight downgrade from Yuli in the field and our rotation should be salty as hell (I also can't wait to see the Javier improvement from basically year 2 to 3 although I know it's technically his 4th year).

Let's ride!

What makes you think Abreu's defense will be worse than Yuli's last year?

I hope I'm wrong but Yuli was a magician with the scoops at first and still had a good range despite his age. If it comes off like I'm dissing Abreu, I'm not.

Altuve probably just needs to play 4-5 more solid seasons to be likely. Hopefully people's stance on the cheating scandal will soften before he's up for election. That's the only thing I could see getting in the way. But surely he will get in eventually regardless.

Anyone else would still have a lot of work to do. Seems like Yordan might have the best shot of the rest, though he's just getting started & a lot of things could happen. It's also hard to know what statistical standards pitchers will be judged on in the future, since so much is changing with their usage.

Pena has had the best start of any Astro in the history of the franchise (at least in terms of accolades) so I'd say he's on a very good path although obviously very early.

History also should be kind to him as he's not involved with the scandal even tangentially and everyone will think back to the hardware and his heart hand gesture. He builds on that for while and he's in terrific shape.

If you want to kill 15 minutes they do a great job breaking down the key at bats in the 9th inning in game 1 against Seattle.

I really like how they break down Hensley and Pena's at bats (spend a little time on Yordan but it was only 2 pitches lol).

Honestly, I don't think the scandal is going to hurt Altuve as much as people think if plays 4-5 more seasons like last season. He may not be first year, but he'd be in within 2-3 years.

The narrative shifted around him a ton this year. I saw many writers defend him by saying, finally, he didn't partake in the scandal. The fact the team has gone on to still be dominate helps his case too.

I think he'll be fine as long as the numbers are there for the hall.
