Not directly Astros related, but I know a lot of posters liked his Twitter posts during this last post season. He seems like a good guy that's worth rooting for.

Damn. I love Chris and his takes. Really hope he gets the help he needs to find peace.

Thats really sad. Also, someone should really read his posts before he posts it. Love the honesty, but some of this shouldnt be shared on the internet. Its not going to help him or his business/life to air how insecure he is

Sometimes that is needed to help you heal. I am sure that ever one read it and it was approved before it was posted.

Perfect. He either ends up in SF or the Yanks pay out the ass.

Just how we planned.

Him needing to post that is just proof of how sick he still is

If a player goes into the HOF wearing an Astros hat, retire that number. That's it, that's the standard.

I am glad he is getting help. but the public declaration and details will never make sense to me.

He could have gotten the same help saying "I need to step away from content creation to get help on a personal matter. Thank you to Barstool and X, Y, Z for being supportive at this time"

Maybe give a few more details if you want to get ahead of the million questions coming your way if you can't/don't want to ignore them.

If I am NY, I saw screw it - pay Swanson, Rodon, & Nimmo. You could probably get all 3 for ~500 M and none would be in the late 30s.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but with the advent of the Astros HOF, I think the Astros need to un-retire some numbers. Our history pre-2017 is too unremarkable (i.e., mediocre) to have so many numbers retired. I would be okay limiting them to numbers 5, 7, 34, 27 (inevitably), and perhaps eventually 2.

On the fence with 17 and 44.

For some, posting and doing that is a release and therapy for them. Getting it off of their chest and pulling away the mask to the public with something that they have hid for so long is a necessary step to recovery for some.

Not saying I would ever dump personal details on social media, but I understand why and where they are coming from.

And go astros.

I don't hate it.

I think the HOF is a good bar, but it's not perfect. Berkman never got a fair look. Wagner is inching his way toward it. Roy O isn't a HOFer, but his career as an Astro probably tops everyone else.

Diddo

But man it's gonna be glorious to see those Yankee tears.

I can't find it but remember there was a NY Post cover showing Judge, Correa, JV, and Edwin Diaz in pinstripes advocating they sign all of them.

They stand a good chance to not sign any of them.

And pray for the Patrick Ewing effect (which also was for a NY team)...

ETA THEY would pray for it...we would all pray they suck eggs as per usual.
