Enjoying some sentimental highlight-watching on this fine offseason day. MLB put out a video just focusing on how many huge hits Bregman had throughout the playoff run. I watched them all in real time but was still surprised at the volume of them. Like his greatness just snuck up on us.

One of the biggest heroes of the whole run, just overshadowed by Peña, Alvarez, and the pitching.

The playoffs were his coming out party.

I've always thought he has the stuff to be a shutdown closer after we move on from Pressly. He's just now refined his craft and gotten things under control.

Love his size, demeanor, and stuff. How old is Abreu and where did he come from?

He's been in the wings since he made the 2019 playoff roster. He was out of shape & failed in 2020. He worked his way back with elite stuff and added control. I think it's funny people are calling him a breakout after he just had a elite season and postseason.

so for his career...Altuve has a 1st, 3rd, and 5th finish for MVP.

I believe Bagwell is the only other Astro to have three top 5 finishes.

Berkman did it 4x. He finished top 6 7x. He should be in the HOF!!!

I think Judge was a deserving MVP. To your point, I just understand why someone would vote for Ohtani, i.e. I don't think it's ridiculous that he wasn't unanimous.

Unless there's something from the 60s or 70s, which I really doubt, I believe this is only the third time the Astros have had 2 guys finish in the top 5 of the league MVP balloting.

It was previously done by Bagwell and Biggio in 1997 and by Biggio and Moises Alou in 1998.
