CY has been quoted as saying the Rangers fully expect to re-sign Perez and those talks will take place in the offseason

That's good to hear. I haven't heard anything about Perez since the trade deadline.

Granted, I'm in the car less and without them being on TV, my interest has dropped as have my post #s on this forum.

We have indeed sucked this past month, as winning the series against the Angels was our first series win in a month. I am not really surprised that the Rangers haven't gotten a deal done with Perez yet. Let him finish the season out and then get a deal done as soon as it's over if that is the path they want to take. Needless to say I think this team will look pretty different again going into spring training next year.

I saw that the other day, that sucks. We can at least use him as a back of the rotation guy. Hopefully he will be ready to go. Otherwise.... that's another starter we will be looking for.

Josh Jung has "it" at the plate IMO, he just needs to go into the offseason knowing that 3rd base is his and stay healthy.

I made it long enough to see the single, but fell asleep and missed the 2nd HR. Good to seem him have a good night at the plate though. And we somehow managed to throw a bullpen game shutout against a team that is still fighting for their playoff spot as well.

Didn't think it was possible, but the Rangers have actually been worse since Woodward was fired (15-25). These boys got their mind on Cabo for October.

I'd take a hard look at Mike Schildt. There would need to be some due diligence done there, but he was a damn successful manager.

I don't know. The Cardinals let him go after a successful tenure for "philosophical differences". That's at least a red flag that needs to be looked into.
