Arihara has not been that good this year at RR, but he still walks almost nobody. He's gotten the home run rate down, so that's good.

I can't imagine he's a part of our future but he'll eat some innings through the end of the year.

Dallas Magazine had a really good article saying similar things. I don't think he was holdings guys accountable.

Arihara 3-6 with a 4.88 ERA at RR.

Arihara ain't it, but don't forget that the average starting pitcher ERA in that AAA league is something like 5.35, so he's better than average by the numbers. Rangers just need guys to eat innings and keep the offense within striking distance.

Arihara will supposedly be sent down after tonight's start when Matt Moore is activated from the paternity list. Mathias will keep the bench warm for Josh Jung, who is tearing it up in AAA.

My favorite combo has been CJ and Murph. Everyone else can and should go.
