Reporting tonight from my palatial seats at beautiful Globe Life Field. The Karbach craft brews are mighty fine.

If only they were still craft, but I digress.

Indeed - they had Wild Acre out in left field earlier this year, but alas no more.

Dunning really looks good tonight. Just one ball to the outfield IIRC.

Every time I see Emmanuel Clase pitch, I think it should be a crime against humanity that we traded him.

Dane Dunning only has 1 win in 20 starts. Yikes! His 4.30 ERA isn't great, but not awful. Probably deserves better than a 1-6 record.

Yeah, as you said, not great but definitely snakebit as hell in his starts. The team is 5-15 in his starts, but there are 10 one run losses and most of them were relatively low scoring games. At least 3-4 of them are 2-1 losses. He's been the eating the biggest share of the one run loss bad luck crapburger

Yeah but that 1/3 of an inning we got from Corey Kluber was totally worth it right?!

One of the biggest **** yous from the baseball I have ever witnessed. It's a full on meme. We got 18 pitches from him

How long until Jung gets called up?

We got 18 pitches from a guy past his prime and they got one of the now most dominant relievers in baseball. We definitely won that deal!!

My guess is that he'll play another week in the Arizona league, then likely straight to AAA. I don't think we see him in the MLB until at least the beginning of football season.

If anything, he would be a September call-up.

Love seeing guys change their approach with 2 strikes. Adolis swung out of his shoes the first two pitches and with 2 strikes chose not to over swing and he drilled a bases clearing double. LOVE IT!!

If Adolis would hit like that more often, he could be a REAL player in this league. There's no need for the gigantic hacks all the time. A normal swing got him a bases clearing double, DO THAT MORE OFTEN.

Just a funny, little coincidence, but since we analyzed Justin Foscue earlier last week, and concluded that he is underperforming some this season for what he profiles as as a player, he has absolutely gone off lol.

Good...I hope he lights it up the rest of the season & becomes a valuable piece in a trade.

His hitting has improved, but it doesn't change the fact that he doesn't have a position really. Barely adequate at 2B, same at 3B, doesn't have the speed or range to play SS or even really OF. We're loaded with middle infielders, some of whom in addition to being more talented are younger.

The best thing for the Rangers would be him having a great last month or so at the plate - makes him more attractive and potentially would require the Rangers to give up less with him included in a trade than they otherwise would. I still don't see anything that makes me think he's a solution for the Rangers at the MLB level.

Not having a position is an issue, but they do need a DH.

I agree, hope he continues to improve as a hitter and move up prospect rankings and then we trade him for a real impact player who has a future with the team.

That might be Josh Jung's spot if he can't stay healthy. Or maybe 1B

Howard just ain't it, but we knew that already. It is pretty wild that we have someone in the rotation with as high an ERA as he has

I don't understand what all the hate towards the new ballpark is about. I think it's great.

Maybe I just spent too many nights sweating my a$$ off at the last two, but simply having a retractable roof makes it a winner in my book.

What do you guys think the ceiling is for Duran? He has been fairly impressive so far. Could he end up being the answer at 3B if Jung is not?

Retractable roof is great. Especially with the game time temps in the 100s.

Having said that... The outside looks like a Home Depot and the inside was about as sterile as a toilet with a new "breath mint."

The natural orientation of the seats are to dirt/turf seam above 2nd base, making it difficult to have conversations. I've literally looked over the person's shoulder next to me, looking at home plate.

Wins
- Retractable roof
- Concourses feed together (RBiA had the 3rd level that rarely had concessions because few people were up there and it was isolated). So... more money for the owners.
- Morgan's box
- Grab-and-Go refreshment areas. Means concessions sold with shorter wait lines. Translates to more owner money.
- More Revenue for owners

Losses
- Everything else.
-- Site lines
-- Payroll
-- JD (had to maintain my rep of hating him)
-- Narrow walkways
-- Fewer restrooms
-- Elevation
-- Sterile
-- Isolation of the expensive/close seats keeping kids from moving to open seats.
-- Having to learn of all the new places.

I think he could be an answer if Jung can't stay healthy. But if Jung doesn't get injured again, he's the guy. He's a better hitter than Duran (not that Duran is bad at all) and the Rangers need offense from that position. FWIW, Jung is playing now in AZ, and is tearing the cover off the ball. He's playing in the field as well, and I'll bet he gets a September call-up, because he's going to have to be added to the 40 man anyway...might as well give him a cup of coffee this season.

The new park is like an ugly girlfriend with giant fake tits. She's ugly to look at and just seems unnatural, but once you get inside, you're gonna have a good time
