You could see him chewing the skin off during the 4th inning last night. He looked pretty upset in the dugout. He was rolling until the blister.

Pretty exciting about Leiter.

I will temper the excitement by saying, there is little scouting on him coming in. Great performance. let's hope he continues. 3.0 IP for the next few GS would suit me fine.

Leiter is going to be a problem for teams for sure. 97 and then an 83 slider and change and then in the 3rd he introduced the 77mph curve. Majority of the batters were completely lost after getting rocking chaired.

The major league team meanwhile looks like the team from last year. $500 million + spent and not much has changed so far.

You should watch the games because clearly you haven't.

The hitting approach, so far... is fundamentally different. 2 games in, but still noticeable.

Starting pitching rotation is likely going to be abysmal. Guy I feel most optimistic about is probably Hearn, but if the rest of your staff is of the quality that Jon Gray is your opening day starter, you ain't going far

The offense is very clearly upgraded. The upgrades for the pitching staff are largely in the minors. Whether they avoid the sweep or not, the franchise trajectory has changed

I really like how this team is approaching the at bats. I like the aggressiveness on the bases. If the pitching can round into shape we should be alright. I'm not looking for playoff run. But vast improvement over last year is pushing for .500. I think that is doable, even with the pitching we have right now.

Also have to remember that the Blue Jays have a pretty great roster and are predicted by many to win the east. Frustrating to lose the first game after having a big lead but it's not like it happened against the Orioles.
