Allard optioned, Barlow to the IL with a blister. Sborz and Alexy called up.

Sborz is just an arm until something better comes along. The Alexy thing could be interesting - he was struggling as a starter, but since being moved to the bullpen he's had a 1.98 ERA. Maybe that's his role going forward.

I've always thought Alexy should be a bullpen guy. I believe he he has a plus fastball and curve, but his command is well below average. Maybe his stuff will play up in short stints.

Allard wasn't DFA'd. He was optioned to Round Rock.
