You saw it with Dave Roberts in '17, Joe Gerardi with the Yankees multiple times, and then Servais with the Mariners. It's what I really appreciate with Dusty, he doesn't feel like he has to make a move just because and leaving Verlander in the game was a perfect example.
It's amazing to me in this day of analytics that there are managers that still go with the lefty lefty matchup because that's what you're supposed to do. All the stats show Yordan hits lefties better. Servais made the same mistake.
