Certainly in terms of pitching and defensive dominance! A decent comp is the '76 Reds who had a badass pen in addition to some lights out starting pitching. They skunked the Yankees in the series, largely because they shut down their offense.

I honestly really liked Rob Thomson, the Philly manager. Made a rookie WS mistake and overmanaged. Wheeler was dealing. It happens. This was a flawed team and he got the most out of them.
