Wheeler and Suarez in game 6 and Nola in game 7. Interesting
did not expect that

I'd be down to wear those jerseys, with the current white pants and navy hats

All I kept thinking last night was how Philly used every bullet in their bullpen. I know we used a lot too, but first of all we won, second we have a deeper pen. I just can't imagine what they will throw our of the bp, guess that's why Suarez is there.
Alvarado threw 20 pitches back to back nights. I don't think one off day will make him not feel that. Everyone else they remotely rely on had to go 15+ of high-leverage throws. And if they go with Nola in a potential game 7, that's short rest and I seem to recall he historically has not been good in that situation.

Makes sense to me. They have to win Game 6. For them it's survive today and figure out tomorrow.
Makes it all the more important to jump Wheeler early.

If Chas is a righty that play is a fair bit easier with the glove on the left hand. In a series filled with great moments, this one may reign supreme.Aston 91 said:As impressive as that catch was watching it live, it just gets better every time I watch it. The distance he had to cover, the timing of the jump, and the awareness of the fence - all in the most pressure-packed situation imaginable.tjack16 said:

Quick thread on the magnitude of this catch...and the fact that Chas is a D2 product from @VilleMarauders. https://t.co/Wgc782Htxi

The Win Expectancy after that catch rose to 96.22%, which is a 6.06% increase after the catch, but what if McCormick didn't make the catch? What's the win expectancy then? pic.twitter.com/k9BwquXthh
— Robert Frey (@RobertFrey40) November 4, 2022
Meaning if you take the difference of before the catch versus after the catch, Chas McCormick's catch gave the Astros a 36.52% swing in win expectancy compared to if he did not make the catch. Amazing.

My brother in law is a softball coach. Their daughter does everything right handed but hits left handed.
For sure, but also common in baseball for an advantage in facing majority right handed pitchers. See Kyle Tucker and yordan Alvarez.
They booed Santa Claus and cheered when an opposing player (a Dallas Cowboy, I believe) was injured on the field. Not surprising for this group of classless aholes.bearkatag15 said:Phillies fans taking swings at my family … you suck. Get a life.

McCormick’s play was more indelible - it’ll be replayed for eternity. But, for my money, Mancini’s play was the best, most critical defensive play of this postseason, maybe - if they can win 1 more - in #Astros history.
