I was listening to it at work this morning... the caller had actually called in the previous day and equated JV and LMJ with Kirsten Sinema and Joe Manchin as "traitors."

Implication that JV and LMJ were throwing the games because they don't want Dusty to win a World Series because they're racist.

It was obviously the worst take ever.

I think some people just go into games wanting to be mad. I thought the announcers were good last night. Was even kind of funny that Smoltz wouldn't talk about the no-hitter in progress while Joe Davis wanted to.

It's also funny whenever a pitcher does something Smoltz doesn't think they should do. He almost went full Peyton Manning on that Nola pitch to Altuve. I could normally take or leave Smoltz to be honest, but last night I thought he was really good.

I was furious last night with the announcers and didn't go into the game angry or looking to be mad. I think several things were tilted in the Phillies favor and very little was favorable of the Astros until the late 8th.

That being said, I think the comments made about the Astros that can be construed as "favorable" are so remedial to someone that watches most Astros games, that we overlook it. I honestly think they say more stuff about the Astros but I just tune it out because I already know it or have heard it a thousand times…

Maybe I'm crazy though…. Either way, win the whole f-ing thing and silence the critics!

That's exactly what it is. You already know the Astros stuff, and you don't want to hear the Phillies stuff. Phillies fans are probably whining about having to hear about how the Astros signed Javier.

This is always a problem, but it's especially a problem in baseball because you have the same local announcers all season and then national guys in the playoffs.

I definitely wish we could have Blum and Kalas in the postseason also, but as postseason broadcasts go I thought they were good last night.

My only real criticism is Smoltz needs to talk less. He's pretty good but he talks way too much.

I know or future hall of famer has had his bumps on baseball's biggest stage, but I think Mister Upton puts a highlight on his illustrious career tonight.
