Our offense was 6th per fWAR this year and the Phillies were 11th. The top five offenses in the league have been eliminated. Regular season offense has very little bearing on how guys hit in the playoffs.

Hopefully this is a teachable moment.

Besides, coming on here and saying "I told you so" about our offense on a night when LMJ tipped and gave up SEVEN early runs is weak.

I wish it did, but this is who these guys have been all year. Score five/hit multiple homers early or pack it up and go home, outside of three or four games. It wasn't hard to know all year that if the pitching faltered, so would the team.

They could totally hit six homers tomorrow and walk away with it. Who knows. But after watching this and knowing two more are in Philly, I'm not seeing 2019 and 2021 as outliers.

This take was dumb the first 4000 times you said it.

Yes, if a team's pitching falters in the World Series, it's not likely to win. Why do you think that only applies to the 2022 Astros?

Sorry, let me hold your hand here. "Falters" in this context meaning gives up anything at all.
