I wish it did, but this is who these guys have been all year. Score five/hit multiple homers early or pack it up and go home, outside of three or four games. It wasn't hard to know all year that if the pitching faltered, so would the team.

They could totally hit six homers tomorrow and walk away with it. Who knows. But after watching this and knowing two more are in Philly, I'm not seeing 2019 and 2021 as outliers.

This take was dumb the first 4000 times you said it.

Yes, if a team's pitching falters in the World Series, it's not likely to win. Why do you think that only applies to the 2022 Astros?

Smoltz knows exactly what's going on. But it doesn't help baseball or his career to state the obvious. A guy that gives up 4 HR's in 47 innings doesn't just give up 5 HR's in 5 innings because a team is "hot".

Schwarber and Harper figured it out in first inning, info that was passed from Cora to Schwarber on LMJ. By the time it got passed down, game over by 2nd and 5th innings.

We scored more runs in the 5th than any other inning.

Well, it appears through is short stay with the Sox, Cora is gonna get back at the Stros as much as much including sharing what he can on our pitching staff with guys like Schwarber. So yeah, gotta be expecting this kind of thing.
