I would be more comfortable with Mancini over JV. He hits like a pitcher might as well have him pitch too.

Stupid ass off day in the middle of the ALDS, 4 days off between the CS and WS, and now a rain out and pushing back the Series. How can any team get a rhythm? Baseball is run by morons.

The delay definitely benefits the Phillies. Instead of Thor then Johnny Fullstaff in games 3 and 4, they can throw Suarez and Nola. That right there is an upgrade.

OTOH, we will get another look at Nola, so if there is a game 7, we will see him 3 times in about a week. You have seen what the Astros can do against a pitcher they have seen a lot

It seems like you're being intentionally dense. Of course if they pitch perfectly, it won't matter. However, we have a distinct advantage in the depth of our pitching staff vs theirs. Their serviceable arms now have an extra day of rest which helps to negate our advantage.

I'm not as upset as I thought I'd be. We'll have to hit whoever they throw out there. We haven't done jack against their bullpen anyway.

We'd all be less stressed if we didn't **** Friday up...

So what are they thinking?

Suarez game 3
Nola Game 4 on full rest
Wheeler Game 5 full rest
Suaraz Game 6 on 3 days rest or Snydergaard?
Nola Game 7 on 3 days rest?

Seeing Nola 3 times is not scary IMO. But I would love to see Framer vs Wheeler again but Dusty doesn't seem to be working towards that.

Not trying to be. I just don't get the woe is me everything is a disadvantage to us attitude people have. This 2022 team has proven they don't flinch at anything.

Just heard a report on ESPN saying the same thing; basically that this postponement significantly helps the Phillies pitching rotation. Didn't sound good.

Radar and the forecast predict heavier showers later in the evening. What they want to avoid is starting the game and then have it go into a long delay.
