Bottom line is this. If Javier and McCullers do their job, this won't matter.
Salsa night will have to be tomorrow then.

I agree but a postponement still favors the Phillies.tjack16 said:jkag89 said:Our pen is much deeper than Phillies.tjack16 said:EastCoastAgNc said:The World Series is now scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Philadelphia.

Friday off day.
Saturday and Sunday in Houston
The added travel day is beyond dumb...benefits Phillies massively. F*** you Rob Manfred...trying to take away every advantage we can possibly have.
How does it benefit them and not us? Genuinely don't get this sentiment. Both of our pitching staffs get an extra day off and we are better in they regard
So we should be able to win regardless?

It's amazing that this is likely the consensus on this board, but I'm way more comfortable with Javier in game 4 than JV.
Suarez in Game 3 and Nola on Game 4 for the Phillies.

That answers my question
Cristian Javier will still start Game 4, Dusty Baker said.

I do wish they would reschedule the start of the World Series if both LCS end as early it did this year.Kashchei said:
Stupid ass off day in the middle of the ALDS, 4 days off between the CS and WS, and now a rain out and pushing back the Series. How can any team get a rhythm? Baseball is run by morons.

I really feel that this IMMENSELY benefits the Phillies who don't have to pitch Syndergaard now and can run out Suarez and Nola then wheeler game 6

It seems like you're being intentionally dense. Of course if they pitch perfectly, it won't matter. However, we have a distinct advantage in the depth of our pitching staff vs theirs. Their serviceable arms now have an extra day of rest which helps to negate our advantage.

The delay definitely benefits the Phillies. Instead of Thor then Johnny Fullstaff in games 3 and 4, they can throw Suarez and Nola. That right there is an upgrade.
OTOH, we will get another look at Nola, so if there is a game 7, we will see him 3 times in about a week. You have seen what the Astros can do against a pitcher they have seen a lot
Radar and the forecast predict heavier showers later in the evening. What they want to avoid is starting the game and then have it go into a long delay.AggieDub25 said:
If mlb network can have a live broadcast on the field right now, they can play baseball
