Phils got WAY too comfortable in the box last night. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple brush-back pitches if they start fouling everything off like they did all night yesterday. Nothing dirty, of course, but prevent them from diving in to cover the outside of the zone.

Diaz has been in a huge funk too. If he has awful ABs tonight I say give Hensley a shot.

I honestly don't think there is a right answer at DH/LF. They are all wrong...

The only think we know about Hensley is that we haven't seen him suck like those other 2 have. Of course, it wouldn't matter if Altuve and Yordan got going.

I'd much prefer giving Hensley a shot. I just assume Dusty has shown us who he is at this point and he's not going to put him in.

We haven't seen enough of Hensley, that's true.

But he is 10/29, 5 walks, 4 extra base hits, I think its enough to give him a shot because like you said, there is no answer, so then the answer becomes the unknown (with a optimistic tiny sample size.)

Hopefully the game last night will be like game 1 of the 2018 ALCS against Boston. We won the first game and thought we had them...4 games later and we were sitting at home.

They had to go 4/10 with risp to win by one run with one of their two pitchers on the bump.

They still haven't scored on our actual bullpen.

No defensive blunders from a bad defensive team.

They got their leprechaun last night.

I feel good about it all.

Greater than 50% chance of rain in Philly from 9pm onwards on Monday night. I think the chances are pretty good we don't play Sunday or Monday. That benefits the Phillies a lot because it allows them to get their 2 best guys back on the mound in game 4 and 5.

What's the worst that happens? If Maldy gets hurt, Vazquez would switch from DH to catcher, we lose the DH and just pinch hit with Diaz/Hensley/Mancini when the pitcher comes up? Vazquez isn't completely blocked from catching right? Honestly I think it's worth the risk.

Downsides is it does make your bullpen management get kinda weird, we don't have the bats to pinch hit, and both of our catchers are slow af. So later in the game we wouldn't be able to pinch run for them in those key situations.

Vasquez just isn't that good enough of a bat to justify all of that.

If he gets hurt on the first inning, it's an automatic out for the rest of the game until Hensley pinch hits. Also remember if framber is on a roll, pinch hitting means the pitcher is out. It's a bad idea
