Still in shock that we lost that game. I have to think our players can flush it and move on more quickly than most of us here, self included. More than that I hope we are patient at the plate. Getting deeper into their bullpen can flip this series around in a hurry.

Heading to God's country to watch the Fightin' Texas Aggies this evening. No I don't expect that we'll win but will be a great time with all my kids and family. Quite a few on both sides of this game which is why we nearly always make plans to be there.

I'll miss you regulars and reasonable posters

The Harry take of the day:

If we had signed Springer we would have won the World Series in 21 and be up 1-0 in this series.

Also, the Phillies caught the breaks, good for them, whatever, we're gonna win tonight, take games 3,4 in Philly, clinch game 6 at MMP.

My neighbors are from Philly and 100% adult children when it comes to pro sports. I've been nice and polite, passive and neighborly about all of this…. but the wife is texting my wife with laugh cry emojis and passive aggressive garbage.

**** is getting real, I can't live next to Philly fan. They're probably the worst. Like redneck yankee bad.

Wel we have played more World Series games than Phillies have played postseason games over the last few years. Our fans are unfortunately used to seeing late playoff games in Houston and take it for granted

Agreed and there's no excuse for it. I know Houston will never be like some fanbases (thankfully), but it seems like a lot of Astros fans cared more about beating an overrated Yankees team and rubbing their faces in it than the actual goal.

Stros are the stros, somehow they win. They never seem to dominate. They rotate player of the game performances between 4 or 5 guys and have good pitching.

It's possible to go streaky with wins and losses that way but more so it's a way to sustain success over a long period of time with that.

What I do know is the Phillies are not the orioles so I feel good. Before the series I said with game 1, 50% chance of sweeping, without game 1, 50% chance of winning.

I feel that way now. Maybe even a little better. I like our chances.

Keep in mind, those in attendance at World Series games are often not the same fans that regularly attend during the regular season.

The fans don't actually play

They don't, you're right- but there are a few moments per game that could be affected by a loud/rowdy crowd. Some players feed off it too.

Does Vasquez need to start so the Phillies can't maneuver their bullpen around our bottom?

If Vasquez starts and we get rid of mancini, we have a better shot of making their bullpen pay. We have to do that to win. That's the series imo.
