That's a lot of words for you to type to say you didn't listen to what he said about altuve in 2017.

They need to update the rules where rain outs are forfeits by the home team. These crap ass NE teams need to get with the program and put a retractable roof on their stadiums.

I think Jomboy's coverage of the Altuve buzzer accusation is the reason Altuve gets the majority of the hate from opposing fans.

The one player who wasn't cheating with the trash can is the face of Astros cheating scandal BECAUSE of the way Jomboy covered it.

He pushed that buzzer theory hard, and the casual MLB fans that enjoy his breakdowns and content (because as you say, it's very good) soaked it up and the result is Altuve being bullied everywhere he goes.

He has a lot of good content for sure. But he's the one who started spreading the buzzer rumor like wildfire and is a big reason why so many people irrationally hate Altuve.

Watch his videos from last week where he's watching game with stupid ass fur coat.

He's an obnoxious Yankee fan just like all of them.

Only when he does this Talking Baseball stuff does he turn off his idiotic Yankee fan BS and is pretty good.

But make no mistake...He's a Yankee at heart.

did Jomboy ever come out and say he was wrong about that buzzer bull****

and does he have a parallel conspiracy as to why Bellinger fell off a cliff after 2019?

Why don't teams ever pitch their worst pitcher in game 1. For example, concede game 1 by putting up your worst pitcher against Verlander and then the next several games your pitchers should be one notch better than the opponent.

Kind of like sacrificing your pawn for a rook?

If there's a redeeming quality of Talkin Baseball it is that it's more often than not, Jake and Plouff not Jomboi

Because then you'll be pitching your worst pitcher in game 6-7

Let's say you do that, lose game 1 and then your ace comes out and gets shelled (like Verlander in ALDS)

Instead of being 1-1 you now could be down 0-2

Not to mention, you can't purposefully get hole in a 7 game series.

Because you want as much of your aces as fast possible. We've seen Aces get 1,4 and 7 before in World Series.

The astros just pitch their ace 1a for game one, their ace 2a for game two, and their ace 3a for game three. Surprised more dont do this.

Been around the US a bit and Philadelphia is easily one of the trashiest pos cities in the country.

The Liberty Bell is probly the most overrated historical landmark too

So is the Space Shuttle Enterprise, but New York had to have it over Houston. The rest is history.
That was pure politics as a f you to a State that didn't vote for Obama. F you Schumer.

We have a Saturn V. The space shuttle was the golf cart of spacecraft.
Indeed. But that doesn't change the fact that the decision to give that shuttle to New York (which as far as I know had very little if anything to do with its operation) was purely political.

Anyway,

Astros in 5.

Don't get me started on the bull***** An absolute travesty that Houston didn't get one of the Shuttles. The other locations make sense, but NY in no way deserved to have a shuttle
y'all, think big picture. do you want more active space programs? i definitely do. how do you get more active space programs? public support for spending on space programs. how do you get public support for spending on space programs? exposure and coverage of current and historical space programs is a great way to do that. houston already has a history with nasa, a saturn v museum piece, a space themed baseball team, and therefore a passion for space. idk how much houstonians would care about nasa if their entire presence was all in florida.

so, how do you get the public energized about space? expose large population centers that are frequently visited to nasa/spaceshuttles/etc. like LA, and NYC and DC,, all 3 are in top 10 most visited cities in the US. LA and NYC are the 2 largest cities also

so was it political? yes. but a never flown in space artifact is a small price to pay, in hopes of a well funded space program going forward.

anyway, 'stros in 7, because more baseball please,, offseason is too long
We have an active space program....Its just called SpaceX now

SpaceX was massively subsidized by NASA and NASA continues to lead the way programmatically on human deep space exploration and Solar System discovery.

To stay on topic, I'm interested in the Nola-Wheeler switch for game 1. Wonder what their thinking was.

How'd that work for the Yanks throwing Cole in GM 3?

Back to baseball! A bit of insomnia led me to finally watch "Facing Nolan" last night. The last out in his 5th no-hitter? Dusty Baker!

Rewatched Four Days in October last night and really looking forward to Facing Nolan tonight. Need one more baseball fix for tomorrow.

The other aspect of "throwing" game 1 by throwing the worst starter is the bullpen. You just going to let that guy wear it, regardless of score? Astros have a crazy deep bullpen, don't know about the Phillies? But a lot of teams would be behind the 8 ball if they throw 4 or 5 innings in game 1.

Because even your #1's can lay a steaming #2 on the mound from time to time. See Verlander in the ALDS and LMJ in the ALCS.

This isn't a 1 v 4 matchup in a college regional where your team is offensively so much better you can rely on that to negate a single starter on the 4 seed.

You are doing everything you can to win game 1.

We all agree the Phillies have horrendous defense, right?

Schwarber is real real bad.
Castellanos is one of the worst OFers.
Bohm ain't great.
Hoskins ain't either.
Stott ain't Pena. He's average, maybe.

On the flip side they don't have any elite guys to counter the poor play.

MLB leaders Errors (fewest)
1. Cards
2. Mets
3. PHILLIES

Hmmm….

Huh? This is saying the Phillies had the 3rd lowest amount of errors? But they suck defensively?

Last night on MLB network the two "expert/former players" were deciding who was better at each position.

One of them went with Castellanos over Tucker in RF.

Guessing it's because they have piss poor range and don't even get to a lot of balls so therefore they don't make a lot of errors.
