The thing is the string of success that most modern Yankee fans are nostalgic about was not built this way. The late '90s/early '00s Yankees were built on a solid core of homegrown talent only bolstered not built upon free agency. Sure you can buy a Championship in baseball but it usually does not lead to long term success.htxag09 said:
