I think Crane has to keep Click even more than I already did, now.
Losing Pete Putila is enormous for the Astros. He deserves a massive amount of credit for helping to institute their player development infrastructure.

Anyone need 2 tix to the game tomorrow? I can't go. 407 row 22, aisle seats (I think)

Farhan Zaidi jokes that Pete Putila "is going to have to buy his own tickets to the Astros playoff games the rest of the way." Putila is starting with the Giants immediately.

I'd take Cheo at age 75 right now over Dubon in center and batting 8th.EastCoastAgNc said:Jose Cruz will throw the ceremonial first pitch before Game 1. Terry Puhl will throw it before Game 2.

It's the level beyond the roar that kicks in when Fisher pops up out of the slide and pumps his fist that really gives me the chills. Because quite honestly we were still sort of suffering from Battered Astros Syndrome at that point. Down 4-0, down 7-4, every time we scored, they scored, if we lost it's back to LA down 2-3, etc.bhuff111 said:The Porkchop Express said:All I do is Nguyen said:
Honestly I watch that walk off against Chapman more than any other post season clip.
It's a split for me between that and bregman driving in fisher in game 5. That's the most electrified I've ever heard a crowd at the juice box
That was the first time I'd ever witnessed and been a part of mass hysteria. I've never seen or heard anything like that. I was physically damaged after that game - my hands were black and blue for days afterwards from slapping the seats in front of me, my left lung felt like it collapsed around the 8th inning from yelling (I now think I hyperventilated), my cousin damn near ripped my left nipple off at some point during the game, the two 70 year old ladies behind us left scratch marks on my neck from jumping up and down hugging me, and I couldn't speak louder than a whisper for 2 days. I gave them everything I had that night.
Now I'm fired up…..

Odds are Servais will try to start some shtt in this series. Key will be to resist. Given that Dusty is asleep half the time this shouldn't be hard.
Stros in 4, celebrate the series win in Seattle.

During the season didn't Servais throw at a couple Astros after one of his players hurt himself fouling off in an at bat? It was bizzare.
Then there was whatever brawl he instigated versus the Angels early in the season.
Not sure how he flies under the sports media radar, probably because he generally stays quiet.

Am I off in thinking this series will be more difficult and more competitive than the potential ALCS matchups?
